GRAB-AND-RUN PLOT ENDS IN GAOL TERM
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. Dec. 10. A Maori who entered a city jeweller’s shoo on Friday evening and ran of!' with five wristlet watches, stated when charged in the Police Court, today that he took the watches because he wanted to go to the pictures. He was Solomon William Andrews. He was further charged with stealing on ''lav '5 an overcoat and other articles valued at about £B.
"You are only 23 and this is yom ninth or tenth offence.” said the magistrate, Mr. J. H. Luxford. "You are an incorrigible rogue and a sneak thief." Andrews was sentenced on each of the two charges to six months' imprisonment.
