Men Wins Leg Contest
lor what is thought to be the first time in Christchurch, a man was awarded first place in a leg contest al the Avon Rowing Club's fair. The man. a member of the club, entered the competition mainly to create amusement, but the judge, seeing only the legs and not knowing his sex, awarded him first prize, There were four other contestants. The man was later disqualified as the contest was limited to women.
