XU a.m.)

LONDON. Oct. 5

A sweeping bill which will make practically any form of opposition to the Czech Government a crime will be presented to Parliament tomorrow, says the British United Press. correspondent in Prague. ! It provides for a State court backed by speedy procedures and extraordinary powers to hold secret sessions. More than 100 people are reported to have been sentenced in the past two weeks during the drive against "reactionaries” and hundreds of others have been arrested.

The Czechoslovak Cabinet approved of a bill setting up “forced labour camps.” The Communist Minister of the Interior, M. Vaclav Nosek, drafted the bill. ■ The purpose of the camps is to educate by work those who, by their way of life, their actions and their attitude towards the people’s democratic State, have shown they do not want :to subordinate themselves to one of

rcthe main principles of the CzechoSlovak constitution by which every rcltizen, has an obligation to worn to s:i contribute to the good of all.”
