M C CREADY BEATS CLAYBOURNE

(P.A.) PALMERSTON N„ Oct. 4. Earl McCready beat Jack Claybourne by two falls to one on Saturday night. The first fall went to McCready in the fourth round with a rocking chair splits. Claybourne equalised in a spectacular fashion in the fifth round. McCready left his corner as though to finish the bout quickly with _ two straight falls, but met with a series of flying dropkicks, Claybourne taking the fall with a top body press. Tile deciding fall in the seventh round was a bodypress following a series of dumps.
