VETERINARY CLUB MEMBERSHIP RISES BY 213 LAST MONTH
A membership increase of 213 was reported at a meeting of the central executive of the Gisborne Veterinary Club yesterday and the president, Mr. Lawson Field, stated that the increase included the supplies of the Okitu Cooperative Dairy Company, Limited, en bloc, and the stations of the East Coast Commissioner.
Members agreed that the position was very gratifying and Mr. G. W. Powdrell considered it would only be a matter of time, with the inflation of non-members' rates, that an increasing proportion of farmers would be joining the orgaisation. For suppliers of a dairy company, he said it was far the simpler way for the dairy farmers to join en bloc.
Mr. Powdrell complimented Gisborne members of the executive on their efforts, the results of which were seen i n the number of applicants for membership.
