POTATO MARKET

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 23. Although the North Island potato market was at present well supplied because of large shipments having gone forward during June and the early part of July, the demand was good and further large shipments would be required for Auckland and other North Island ports during August and the succeeding montns and freight space was already in sight, said the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. E. L. Cullen, today. “It seems quite possible,” added the Minister, “that the quantity of contract grown F.A.Q. potatoes will not be sufficient to meet the requirements until the end of the season and there should bo” a market for quite a considerable quantity of under-grade potatoes as the season advances.”
