TWO POLIO CASES FROM THAMES AREA

AUCKLAND, June 21

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 21. A suspected case of infantile paralysis, a child, aged two and a half, was the only new notification of the disease in the central Auckland health district during the week-end.

The admission of this patient to the Auckland Hospital brought the number of cases there to 47 positives and three suspects. Two positive cases were reported in the Thames area and two other susoects, involving children, have resulted in restrictions being imposed in Ngatea and Turua near Thames.
