ARMY DOCTOR DISMISSED FOR NEGLECT OF DUTY

(10 a.m.) LONDON, June 15. A court-martial found Captain John Stuart Smith, a 55-year-old British Army doctor, not guilty of manslaughter of two German internees at Bad Nenndorf interrogation camp, near Hanover. The cburt found him guilty of five charges of professional neglect and sentenced him to be dismissed the service, subject to confirmation. Counsel for Smith said the set-up at Bad Nenndorf did not reflect any credit on the British Army.. Smith was anxious to return to his civilian occupation where he discharged his duties creditably.
