N.Z. INTERESTED IN TRADE WITH INDIES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 15. Although it is only a few days since the national executive of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union removed the ban on Dutch shipping, numerous inquiries are reported to have been made by businessmen concerning the possibility of the restoration of trade between New Zealand and the East Indies.
It is not known when K.P.M. ships are likely to return to New Zealand and it is thought likely that the company will first re-establish its service along the Eastern Australian coast.
