MORE AIRCRAFT FOR CLUBS

The Royal New Zealand Aero Club has been advised that the Government has made 19 aircraft available to aero clubs in addition to the 42 previously allotted, according to information received by the New Plymouth Aero Club. The R.N.Z.A.F., however, will not be able to assemble the additional machines which will have to be accepted at Taieri and taken from thera within six months. A South Island firm has offered to collect aircraft from Taieri, assemble them at Christchurch and put them into condition for a certificate of airworthiness. The New Plymouth club decided to endeavour to acquire a fourth Tiger Moth plane from the latest allocation.
