LIGHTNING HITS LONDON BLOCKS
(10 a.m.) LONDON, June 14. After the hottest night this y.ear, violent thunderstorms broke in many parts of Britain today. Lightning struck buildings in south-east and north-east London as well as in Yorkshire and Hertfordshire. Sub-tropical rain caused minor floods in some London suburbs.
