NO RECOGNITION OF S.A. TRADE UNIONS
JOHANNESBURG. June 12. The Government would not proceed with the bill to recognise African trade unions which the Smuts Government W’as to have introduced, said the Minister of Labour, Mr, Schoeman. He added that the Government had stopped the training of Africans as artisans as it would end the mixing of Europeans and non-Europeans in the unions and eliminate communism from the unions.
