R.A.F. MUST “GET CRACKING QUICKLY”
LONDON, June 13. "Times are exceedingly difficult and we have to get the air force cracking pretty quickly,” said Air Marsiial Sir Hugh Walmsley, deputy Chief of the Air Staff, in a speech. “Our potential enemy - is Russia.” “If an aggressor starts anything we must have the strength to see aim off quickly,” Field-Marshal Montgomery said in a speech. “If we could get the British Empire to speak with one voice we could see everybody cff.”
