Frosts at Taupo

Nagnificent weather, with eight succesiive frosts reaching 16 degrees and an average of 12 degrees for the last eiglt days, has prevailed at Taupo. Ngiuruhoe is quietly active and presets a beautiful picture, the snow conpletely covering the mountains and ranges from the south-west to the soiih-east. Ruapehu showed activity yesterday morning, a shot' of about in(f)ft. being observed at 10.30 o’clock. Cloud partially obscured the mountain, bu grey ash in addition to the steam >.was apparent. -
