CLARRIE GORDON WINS ON A TECHNICAL K.O.
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 15. Making his first appearance in the ring since his license was recently restored by the New Zealand Boxing Council, Clarrie Gordon (Auckland), lOst. 2Jib., last night defeated lan Cruickshanks (Dunedin), lOst. 211 b., by a technical knock-out in the seventh round of a scheduled 10-round bout. Gordon had the faster and cleaner punches and had a long lead on points. Peter Cochrane (Auckland), list. 121 b., making his first professional appearance, was beaten by a technical knock-out in the second round by Colin I-loncy (Auckland), 12st. 21b.
