EFFORTS TO GET COACH UNSUCCESSFUL

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. June 15. The Wellington Cricket Association decided last night that no further endeavour would be made to obtain a coach for the coming season. The English county cricketer J. H. Parks advised in a letter that he would not consider a permanent engagement —as was desired by the association—as he was under engagement in England lor the following season. The treasurer,, Mr. J. Banks, said there must be someone in New Zealand who could act in a temporary capacity. Personally, he said, he could not se'e what good overseas coaches had done for cricket in Canterbury and Auckland.
