DEATH OF EDITOR IN WELLINGTON
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. June 12. The death has occurred of Mr. Arthur C Geddis, elder son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Geddis and editor and managing director of H. E. Geddis and Company, publishers of the New Zealand Free Lance. Mr. Geddis, who was in his sixtyfifth year, was born and educated in Auckland and later attended Victoria University College while gaining his early experience in the printing trade with the Free Lance, his father having transferred to Wellington on assuming the editorship. Mr. Arthur Geddis had further experience on the literary staff of the Evening Post and then joined his father in the management of the Free LanceHe succeeded Mr. J. M. Geddis as editor and a senior member of the directorate on the latter’s death in 1935. „ Mr, Geddis is survived by his wife.
