GUIDED MISSILES TO CARRY ATOMIC BOMBS

(10 a.m.) CANBERRA, June 14. Australian scientists are developing a new weapon consisting of a guided missile to carry atom bombs great distances. The British Government is urging Australia to impose more stringent secrecy safeguards on the scientists associated with the Central Australian rocket range project. Britain insists that only scientists who will give unqualified assurances that they will comply with secrecy requirements should be employed on the project. Correspondents suggest that the reason why the United States Government is r.ot co-operating is that if fears for the secrecy of scientific data.
