CHILDREN TO TAKE OVER NEW YORK

NEW YORK, May 20.

Sixty city street blocks in areas where juvenile delinquency is high will be closed to all traffic and turned over to children for day-long sports, games and dancing six days a week during July and August. The New York City Youth Board, which has voted £93,000 to finance the programme, hopes it will capture the interest of youngsters and lead them away from crime.
