ALLEGED MURDERER CAUGHT AFTER CHASE

(10 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 14. Arrested by detectives near the township of Camden, on the main road to Melbourne, Percy Charles Neville, aged 32, labourer, was charged with the murder of John Beaumont Allard.

The police were warned that a man alleged to be concerned with the murder would be travelling to Melbourne by car. A patrol car sighted a vehicle which detectives recognised proceeding at high speed through Camden. After a chase during which the police car touched 70 miles an hour the other car was forced to the roadside and the man was arrested.
