N. Pritchard, the New Zealand fast bowler, playing for Warwick, took his fiftieth wicket in the round of county matches concluded today. He is the first player this season to do so. Results:—
Worcester: First innings, 172 (Pritchard 6 for 59), second innings, 4 for 94. Warwick, first innings. 160 (Perks 5 for 73). The match was drawn.
Surrey, first innings 300 (Fishlock 78); second innings. 123. Lancashire, first innings 176; second innings, 246 (E. Bedser 5 for 75). Surrey won by one run.
Glamorgan, first innings, 319 (Hill 4 for 29), second .innings 6 for 113 declared. Hampshire, first innings 212, second innings 150 (Jones 5 for 52). Glamorgan won by 70 runs. Northants, first innings 342 (Brookes 179), second innings, 3 for 43. Sussex, first innings, 123 (Broderick 9 for 35), followed on. 9 for 418 declared (Griffiths 106). The match was drawn.
Somerset, first innings, 110 (Wardle 6 for 48), second innings, 6 for 22. Yorkshire, first innings, 74 (Lawrence 6 for 29). Tho match was drawn.
Essex, first innings, 405 (Vigar 103, Horsfall 97). Gloucester, first innings, 251 (Crapp 94) followed on, 117 (Preston 4 for 26). Essex won by an innings and 37 runs.
Oxford, first innings, 5 for 404 declared (Kardar not out 138). Middlesex, first innings 115 (Kardar 6 for 51). followed on. 170 (Whitcombe 4 for 43). Oxford won by an innings and 119 runs.
