Dollai' situation plans for the expansion of trade between New Zealand and Australia and Pacific defence have been discussed in talks at the Prime Minister’s residence between the New Zealand Ministers, Mr. W. Nash and Dir. A. 11. Nordmeycr, and Mr. J. B. Chiflev and Dr. 11. V. Evatt.

The talks began on Saturday after the arrival of the New Zealand Ministers and were expected to conclude last night. An official announcement covering the talks will not be made until they end. It is known that New Zealand has trade difficulties even in sterling areas and Australia has offered to assist. The co-ordination of purchases in do'iar areas is likely between the two countries.
