MAORIS GIVE £4OO TO AID CHILDREN’S FUND
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. June 11. On behalf of King Koroki and his people of the Waikato, Maniapoto and Tainui tribes. Princess Te Puea Herangi, Ngaruawahia, yesterday handed the Prime Minister. Mr. P. Fraser, a cheque for £4OO. representing the Waikato tribes’ contribution to the United Nations’ appeal for children. The Prime Minister has paid the cheque to the local organisation in charge of the appeal. CHILDREN’S FUND REACHES £220,000 (P.A.) WELLINGTON. June 11.
