BRITAIN’S ATTITUDE TO ISRAEL STATE
(10 a.m.) LONDON. June 11. Mr. N. H. Lever, in the House of Commons, on the motion for the adjournment on Friday morning, declared it was the Government’s duty to recognise the State of Israel. The quibble about the legal status of Israel had no moral foundations. The Under-Secretary of Foreign i Affairs, Mr. C. P. Mayhew said that i recognition of Israel at present would be a positive act of political intervention.
