CYCLIST KILLED IN COLLISION WITH TAXI
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, June 7. Knocked down by a taxi on the north road last night a man suffered injuries from which lie later died. He was: Mr. Anthony Silvester Devlin, aged 44, single, Works Department plant overseer. The accident occurred about threequarters of a mile on (lie city side of Cooper’s corner. Mr. Devlin was cycling towards the city and was overtaken by the taxi which was driven by Mr. Joseph Dalton Ashmore. Mr. Devlin was admitted to the Southland Hospital at 10.26 p.m. and died abo.yt l a.m.
