POLICE SEARCH FOR ARMED ASYLUM ESCAPEES

WELLINGTON, June 7.
“Three men, two of whom are armed, escaped from the Porirua Mental Hospital on May 14 and are being sought by the police,” said the superintendent of the Wellington police. Mr. J. Dempsey, today. He added that the men were in possession of food and were believed to be in possession of a red truck which was missed from Eketahuna on Friday night.
