RUSSIA SEEKING TRADE WITH SIAM
(11 a.m.) BANGKOK, June 6. Russia today made a strong bid for trade with Siam. M. Arinitecnev, the Soviet trade representative at present at Bangkok, is negotiating for the purchase of Siamese tin, rubber and other products. Russia has offered to import from Siam unlimited quantities of rubber, tin, and coconut oil, and is prepared to pay for them in sterling or United States dollars or barter them for Soviet newsprint, coal, ammonium 'or other commodities.
Russia is reported to be importing considerable quantities of wolfram from Siam through Chinese dealers in Hong Kong.
