COPYRIGHT LAWS TO BE REVIEWED
(10 a.m.) BRUSSELS. June 3. Delegates representing 52 nations will attend a three weeks’ conference opening on Saturday to review the Berne convention on copyright signed in 1866. The object of the conference is to seek to protect authors’ rights in the new age of widespread broadcasting and television, and as a result of developments in film, radio and printing techniques. Questions affecting the press will also be raised. Russia will not be represented. The United States, Argentine and China will attend only as observers.
