COMPETITION VERY GOOD The Committe of London Woolbrokers advise that the London wool sales were continued yesterday, the offerings of private shipments totalling 7542 bales, including 5909 New Zealand, of which 3022 bales were greasy, almost all from the East Coast, 1824 slipe, and 1063 scoured. Competition was again very good from all sections, including Bradford, Russia, Germany and other Continental countries. There was a total clearance of greasy clips. Prices were very firm at Wednesday’s rates. Among the top prices (converted to New Zealand currency by the addition of 25 per cent to the saleroom prices) were: Tutu/To, 45:1d; M/Lands, 42d; R/Roa, 38id: Glenreay, 39Jd; Mangarara, 38'icl; Waihora, 39£d; JES, 42Ad; Diamond under Eyebrow, 41gd; Rongo, 413c1; Omapere, 41jd; Moko. 38d; Bex, 39]d; Tatara, 37d; SN/Totara, 373 d. There was a good clearance of scoureds and slipes at Wednesday’s prices.
Joint Organisation offered 11,317 bales, including 2217 New Zealand, and all were sold. ,
