Wash-house destroyed.

Fire destroyed a detached washhouse at the home of Mr. W. Allen, 29 Oswald street, last evening. A call was received by the Gisborne Fire Brigade at 5.2 p.m., but on the brigade’s arrival it was found that the washhouse had collapsed. A bucket pump was used to extinguish the names. It is thought the fire occurred through a fault in the firebox of the copper.
