SHARKS’ QUEER DIET

STUDY BY FISHERMEN PERTH, March 30. Salmon fisherman operating at Hamelin Bay, east of Albany, are getting an unusual insight into the queer habits of One grey nurse with an original taste, is found to have swallowed the large vertebra of a whale; another 200pounder of the same species swallowed a groper weighing 651 b. A hammerhead weighing 3001 b. had a pilot fish lying on its head, and another had inside it a sft. “cocktail” shark, so called because of its tail formation. Grey nurse sharks are sometimes observed shepherding the salmon and driving back to the schools any which break away. They are frequently seen lying asleep underneath the fish, apparently only attacking them when hungry.
