DORMAN'S POINTS WIN

ENDACOTT BEATEN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 20. With a win each and a draw in their three previous encounters, Noel Dornan, of Hawke’s Bay, list., and Frank Endacott, formerly of Australia, list. 31b., had a rousing tussle for supremacy when they met for the fourth time in the Wellington Town Hall last night. Dornan had to withstand an almost continuous right-hand onslaught, from Endacott, but was much faster and scored freely in the in-fighting and, from the fourth round on, built up a points margin in his favour to gain the decision.

Endacott slowed up over the concluding stages and, in the ninth round, went down for the count of nine following a whirlwind exchange in which Dornan came out on top with a beautiful right to the chin.
