TOP BATSMAN & BOWLER SUTCLIFFE AND BURTT (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 20. The New Zealand Cricket Council has awarded the Redpath Cup to B. Sutcliffe (Otaga) and now of Auckland and the Winsor Cup to T. B. Burtt (Canterbury) for their batting and bowling performances in first-class cricket last season. Sutcliffe headed the Plunket Shield batting averages for the season, making 532 runs in six innings, for an average of 88.66. Burtt’s Shield bowling average was 22.78. He bowled 220.4 overs for 23 wickets and 524 runs.
