NORTHLAND EPIDEMIC TWO MORE ADMISSIONS (P.A.) WHANGAREI, April 19. The first fatal case of infantile paralysis in Northland occurred at the Kaitaia Hospital yesterday afternoon, the victim being a six-year-old boy whose parents reside three miles from Kaitaia. Diagnosed as a severe case, he was admitted to hospital on Saturday. A 13-year-old girl from Peria, 16 miles from Kaitaia, admitted to hospital as a suspect on Thursday has been proved positive. Another case is a 18-year-old youth from the same district. The two cases come from separate families between whom, however, contact has been established.
