HIGHER WAGE RATES
SHIPPING CLERKS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 20. Increased wage rates are provided under an amendment of the New Zealand shipping companies’ clerical workers employees' award, issued by the Court of Arbitration. The amendment was agreed upon be. tween the parties. The new rates for males extend "from £134 18s a year for the first six months to £448 10s in the fourteenth year and thereafter an increase according to merit The new rates for females range from £134 18s to £3Ol 6s in the ninth year and, thereafter, rise on merit. The amendment operates as from April 1
