DOCTORS' PLEBISCITE
HEALTH SCHEME SERVICE SAFEGUARDS LACKING LONDON, April 18. The chairman of the British Medical Association, Dr. Guy Dain, announced that the B.M.A. recommendation to members for a plebiscite on the question of participation in the new health service was that Mr. Aneurin Bevan’s proposals did not sufficiently safeguard the profession's freedom. Members had the opportunity of confirming the vote of the plebiscite held on February 18 when they rejected the Government’s proposals.
