No Rear Vision Mirror

A fine of 10s. with costs £l, was imposed on Hape Smith, Manutuke, who was charged in the Gisborne Magistrate’s Court yesterday with having no effective rear vision mirror for his truck. The Transport Department’s inspector, Mr. R Metcalfe, who brought the charge before Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., said that when he stopped Smith’s truck at Manutuke on December 31 he found that the rear vision mirror had been broken off.
