JAPANESE WARSHIPS METAL FOR INDUSTRIES (10 a.m.) TOKYO. March 22. The United States naval authorities announced that of the 750,000 displacement tons of Japanese warships which remained afloat at the end of the war, 600,900 tons had been scrapped.
