SUNSPOTS UPSET RADIO

(10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, March 16. The National Bureau of Standards reported today that a magnetic storm in the upper atmosphere, which began at midnight and is expected to continue for three or four days, has disrupted radio communications throughout the world. The disturbances are described as particularly severe across the North Atlantic. The storm was caused by a heavy outburst of sunspots.
