14 MEN DROWNED
ASHORE BATTERED BY SEAS FIVE OTHERS RESCUED LONDON, March 14. Fourteen of the 19 members of the crew of the British trawler Epine were swept overboard and drowned after the vessel stranded on a rock off the Icelandic coast. The trawler went ashore last night during a 60-mile-an-hour gale. Huge seas swept the bridge away. One man earlier today was washed ashore alive. Four were rescued by breeches buoy on the shore.
