ATTACKS ON ARABS

JEW FORCES COMBINE WIDESPREAD FIGHTING BRITISH UNIFORMS WORN (10.45 a.m.) JERUSALEM, March 15. The Jewish defence force Haganah and the Jewish terrorist organisation the Stern Gang have combined in attacks on Arab positions and communications from Safad to Gaza. These attacks, combined with a flareup in Jerusalem, brought to at least 60 the number of persons known to have been killed in the past 24 hours, says the London Daily Telegraph’s correspondent in Jerusalem in a message last night.

The correspondent added that eyewitnesses stated that Stern Gang members who on Saturday night penetrated into the Kat.amon quarter of Jerusalem masqueraded as a company of British soldiers. They marched in formation with a man posing as a sergeant-major giving army orders in English.
