FIJIANS WIN

SOUTHLAND MATCH SEVEN WICKETS’ MARGIN (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, March 12. The cricket match between Fiji and Southland ended in a win for the visitors by seven wickets. Big hitting by Aria was a feature of the game. The weather yesterday morning was fine and warm, but deteriorated in the afternoon. The Fijians passed Southland’s score with five wickets down and went on to make 153 in 154 minutes on a dead ground. At one time it looked as if Southland would not save an innings defeat, but they had 18 to snare, leaving the visitors 19 to get to win. E. Cakobau and Fenn again bowled unchanged for Fiji.
