LOYALTY OF UNIONISTS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 9. The Prime Minister, Mr. P. Fraser, and the Minister of Labour, Mr. A. McLagan, issued the following statement this afternoon:— We both desire to express our thanks to the overwhelming majority of trade unionists who, despite the insistent urging of Communists and their fellow travellers and co-wreckers in the trade unions, showed their sound common sense by staying away from the foolish and futile anti-Government demonstrations yesterday and attended to work of the ordinary avocations.”’
