(N.Z P.A.—Copyright.) (10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK?, March 9. The American military authorities in Germany have abandoned their belief t-hat the world is relatively safe from war for at least 10 years.
The Secretary of Defence. Mr. James Forrestal, and his three sub-Cabinel Secretaries for the Army, Navy and Air, told this to a closed meeting of the Senate Armed Services Committee, reports the United Press correspondent in Washington.

The policy of Britain, United States and France undermined the four-Power agreement of the Control Council for Germany and the Council of Foreign Ministers.
