IRON LUNGS ARRIVE

THREE SENT FROM SYDNEY (P.A.) ISLINGTON, Dec. 17. Three iron lungs for use in the treatment of infantile paralysis if necessary were brought to Wellington by the Wahine yesterday from Sydney. One is to be sent immediately to the Auckland Public Hospital and the other two will be held in reserve in Wellington for use in any emergency.

A. &. P. SHOW POSTPONED (P.A.) WAIPUKURAU. Dec. 17. At a special meeting the Waipukurau A. and P. Association decided to postpone its show which was to have been held on January 31. This decision was reached in view of the outbreak of infantile paralysis. The fixture will be held as soon as possible after the ban on gatherings of children is lifted.
