102 YEARS OLD TODAY

AUCKLAND RESIDENT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 17. The 102nd birthday of an Auckland resident, Mrs. Margaret Baxter Salmon, will be celebrated today. Mrs. Salmon was born in London on December 17, 1845, and came to New Zealand in 1874 as matron in charge of a party of girl immigrants in the ship Oxford. A year ’later she was married to Mr. James Salmon.
