FIRST A.T.C. PILOT

TRAINED AT RONGOTAI (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. The first A.T.C. cadet in the Dominion to go solo under the A.T.C. scheme of flying training is Warrant Officer A. J. King, of No. 1 Squadron, Wellington. Cadet King successfully completed his first solo flight at Rongotai airport yesterday. To date advice has been sent to 51 out of the 150 cadets who will fly under the scheme this year that they have been successful in passing their medical examinations.
