MAN HAS BEST LEGS

WOMEN COMPETITORS (10 a-m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 16. A middle-aged married man with three children is a finalist in a “lovely legs quest” being conducted at Goulburn. He defeated girls in the second heat of the quest. The placings were determined by the applause of the audience, which was unaware of his identity, as a curtain was hung in front of the entrants so that only their legs showed. „ , , The man, who contends that he is a serious contestant, obtained his wife s co-operation in shaving his legs and applying suntan lotion. “I entered the competition Decause I thought it was about time men’s legs , were recognised for their beauty value,” he said. “The contest manager tried to prevent my entry, but lost the decision when I pointed out that the entry forms did not restrict the contestants to women.”
