BIG MONEY IN GOLF
LOCKE FINISHES WELL UP NEW YORK, Dec. 12.“ The South African, Bobby Locke, finished second among the big money winners in American professional golf for the 1947 season. The first was Jimmy Demaret with 24,536 dollars, compared with Locke’s 24,327 dollars, but whereas Demaret played for a full season Locke played only the summer half. Jim Ferrier finished sixth with 16,973 dollars.
