HANDICAP SHOOT

GISBORNE_RIFLE CLUB SPONGE BAY RANGE The weekly handicap competition of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club held at the Sponge Bay range on Saturday consisted of 10 shots from each of the 200yds and 300 yds mounds, giving a possible score of 100 points. J. K. Aitken won the match with a gross score of 97, his effort at 300yds. being an excellent one, only one point short of the possible. Second place went to H. lies, who returned a good score card of 48 at 200yds. and 47 at 300yds., plus one point handicap and reached the standard score og 96. Four other competitors also reached the standard score, P. Benney securing the third prize on the Blsley count-out from F. Lloyd, R. Dolman and H. Judge.
